Lifting Operations Appointed Person

Our Transport division combines over 50 years of construction logistics and haulage expertise, and our Plant division boasts one of the largest, most diverse and modern ranges of plant equipment, small tools, formwork and falsework systems.
We are currently seeking a Lifting Operations – Appointed Person to join our team based out of Worksop. The key elements of the role are to provide site-specific RAMS, Method Statements, and manage major project installations while supporting planning and business development with technical advice for customers.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel as part of the role.
Main responsibilities
- Ensuring lifting operations are planned and executed in accordance with law and company policies.
- Ensure HIAB operators are suitably trained and competent with respect to lifting operations.
- Assist Business Development team in generating and securing new customers.
- Work with the wider Explore business to ensure the full range of Explore products are offered to customers (where appropriate).
- Equipment and tackle specifications for vehicles to carry out lifting requirements.
- Manage major accommodation project installs and others
- Provide site specific RAM`s for both internal and external customers.
- Regular site visits to major projects HS2, EKFB and LOR projects alike.
- Maintaining lifting equipment in line with LOLER regulations.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths/English - C Grade or above.
- Full UK driving licence.
- ALLMI/CPCS Appointed Person.
Experience
- Experience working with a HIAB fleet.
- Knowledge of the plant and transport industry.
- Knowledge of the relevant compliance and statutory regulations governing the transport and operating of Lorry loaders.
Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of lifting operations on construction sites, production of lifting plans and method statements preferred.
